With all of the technological advances in the past twenty years, the ways in which we can date an individual has expanded exponentially. As long as you have a smartphone, you can find a date. However, today we are going to throw it back a bit and talk about chat lines and the pros and cons that come along with dating someone through them. In our humble opinion, the pros outweigh the cons, and chat line dating is calling our names.

Safety is priority

If you’re someone who tends to get a bit paranoid around new people and you like to fully vet them and feel some level of comfort with them prior to meeting up in person, chat lines are perfect for you! If you happen to be this type of person, we are guessing you are also pretty damn observant. Use this to your advantage; being able to hear their voice as they answer your questions will tell you a lot about whether or not they are being sincere. You just can’t get that kind of clarity from a dating app.

Voices are heard but….

Faces are not seen. This one can be a bummer. It’s always nice to put a face to the name. It’s always nice to be able to look into somebody’s eyes.

When Relationships Evolve

If you have found a serious relationship on a chat line, the chances are you are itching to see and feel this person. If you live in different states or even different cities with conflicting job schedules, that can make things a bit rough for the two of you. The NEED to feel someone when you like them can be overwhelming, and not having that closeness can be detrimental to a relationship. But….if it’s meant to be it’ll be.

What we are trying to say is that there are pros and cons to anything and everything in the dating game, but the more shallow and vapid our society becomes, the more and more we love the idea of chat lines.
